ShARE has pioneered its own model , a mix of think tank, strategy school and social network for talented students

ShARE has invented its own model. We started as a platform to share knowledge. We are still a place where we share knowledge, at a much bigger scale though, but we are also a place where we train our members and offer them the possibility to interact with other students from 4 different continents and more than 14 countries. The model is bound to evolve and may take a different shape to eventually pursue the long-term vision of ShARE.

What we are
THE THINK TANK

This is probably the simplest way to describe ShARE.

As such, the insights gained from knowledge creation at ShARE can be shared not only amongst the ShARE community, but can also offer corporate and social leaders a novel perspective in tackling pertinent economic and business issues.

However, unlike traditional think tanks our energies are not solely focused in providing advice to governments and similar organizations. Moreover, given the nature of ShARE our in-house expertise is not yet at a level at which public policies can be influenced.

the strategy school

ShARE is not only a think tank but also an educational hub. ShARE members are trained to acquire new skills, have a compulsory curriculum to follow and eventually take a set of exams. Progress up to the next career level is only possible if these exams are passed.

The objective of ShARE is not to add another layer of academic curriculum, but rather to train our members to approach problems differently, in a way that is pragmatic, rigorous and focused.

ShARE training modules have been developed in conjunction with alumni, who have worked in top tier management consulting firms. The founder of ShARE is himself a former consultant of the Boston Consulting Group

Example of training
  • Excel and Powerpoint consulting tips
  • Problem Solving
  • Story Lining
  • Structure and framework thinking
  • Project management
  • Communication to senior executive
  • Pyramid principle
  • Smart charts
THE SOCIAL NETWORK

ShARE has no physical office or contractual employees as such, but rather organization is directed via a Member Access area. Effectively ShARE’s virtual office, it is a cloud-based solution, developed in house, to cater to the unique needs of this pioneering model.

ShARE members receive training, submit completed research, thus allowing other members access, and furthermore can interact with one another via this online community.

However, understanding the importance of direct face-to-face interaction, members regularly meet, whether to work or simply socialize during the events we organise throughout the year.
